The Resurfacing Process
To resurface your asphalt, first the top layers are removed using a specialized machine. This process is called milling. The old asphalt can be recycled and reused in other construction projects. Deep potholes are repaired and the foundation is checked for any major problems and structural issues. Any areas that had standing water can be graded and evened out. Now the asphalt surface is ready for a new application of hot mix asphalt. The top layer is replaced with fresh asphalt, and you have a refreshed road, parking lot, or driveway.
